Who am I?

"I'm Maria Priami, and since I was a child I've always felt a strong need, desire, and joy in giving form, life, and form to my fantasies, (which I call "artistic attacks").
My creations are born driven by this pulsating and dominant need of mine.

The materials I use to create my works are often simple.
The dolls are born from a core of wood and polystyrene, which I then work on with freehand painting and tailoring. The fabrics are fine, often painted freehand.

The LIGHT SPHERES are made with plasticized materials, wood, velvet fabrics for the flowers, lace fabrics, freehand painting, LED lights.

The FLOWERS used for the various compositions are constructed freehand in each single piece, with acrylic colors and modeling rubber.

The GLASS PAINTING WORKS are painted freehand, with pure acrylics, finished and compacted with natural resins.
Paintings on wood, canvas, and Tuscan terracotta are made freehand, using mixed techniques, 3D materials, and relief structures.
The trompe l'oeils are created on interior and exterior walls using overlapping techniques and various watercolour perspectives. The colours used are acrylic. The painting is done freehand. Sealing is done with natural resins.

My ongoing research focus is on the study of materials with low environmental impact.
CREATING BEAUTY, bringing my intentions to life, goes beyond my art.
It's respect for Mother Earth, a thank you to nature that gave me the gift of creativity."
